Publisher description
From 2003 to 2010 primary schools in South Africa have been involved in a project to implement environmental management systems (EMS) into the school management and to reduce the school's environmental impact by introducing an environmental care programme. After the EMS was implemented and the environment was integrated in the curriculum, activities in the monitored school were measured and data was collected based on detailed questionnaires, related to four environmental aspects and to three managerial aspects. This new book draws attention to the advantages and possibilities of the implementation of EMS at schools
