A few years ago I had less than no money.
I had personal loans to the value of £25, 000. Credit card debt of over £10, 000. And an overdraft approaching £3, 000. My main concern each month was to put enough money in my bank account to cover the bills and, if possible, claw my way back to zero. But even this embarrassing goal of getting back to 'just broke' still seemed out of reach because I owed more money than I earned in an entire year.
You may well ask, "How did you get yourself in this state?" Well, for several years my outgoings were higher than my income. Not by much, but over time it overwhelmed me until one day I realised I was almost out of credit.
Then out of the blue I received an invite to a marketing workshop. It read a little differently to other direct mail offers I'd seen. You see, most offers have a guarantee: A 60-day, no-questions-asked, no-risk, double-your-money-back, sort of guarantee. But to me that just says the seller is not really confident his system will work and is hoping you'll forget or not be bothered to claim a refund when you figure out it's a load of rubbish.
But this one didn't.
Instead it read: "If within 12 months you haven't made enough money with this system to at least cover the cost of this workshop, I'll personally work with you until it does."
Now here was someone who believes his system will work and is willing to prove it to me, personally. So I went along.
This is what I learned
