Practice should not wait until you have a sick person on whom to experiment -- your attempts might not be appreciated -- but have someone "play patient" while you change the bed clothes, the gown, lift her up and down in bed, to another bed, to a chair, change the mattress, etc. Do all this not once but many times until you can follow out the directions softly and quickly. It would be best to do this before the answers to the tests are sent in, so that if there is anything in which you fail or that is not perfectly clear, you can ask for explanations.
