To preserve not only the resuscitated economy, but the resources that base it, is going to require a revision in the way we've been doing (exploiting, wasting, polluting) things. Whole new systems should be invented, implemented, installed -- plumbing, electrical, traffic and commuting, even housing and residence-realms. With price controls to prevent profiteering-inflation, the government infusion necessary to transform systems while re-forming employment problemes ...it can work. It did for what we call the "War Effort" (mobilization for WW II)
