Anton is located at the intersection of U.S. Route 84 and Farm-to Market Roads 168 and 597. The Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway passes through the western edge of town.According to the United States Census Bureau , the city has a total area of 0.8 square miles (2.0 km²), all of it land.Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 1, 200 people, 423 households, and 313 families residing in the city.
